International Consensus Criteria on posters

ME and the International Consensus Criteria: Posters which capture some of signs and symptoms of the neurological disease M.E. as per the ICC

Duration: 2mins

This series of easy-to-read posters featuring the major criteria of the International Consensus Definition for ME, put together by Janet Smart, on Youtube may be just right for you.

On her Youtube page Janet notes: “The posters have been available for some time on Facebook, however I felt that the signs and symptoms of ME as per the ICC needed to be shared with a wider audience.

“This is my first attempt at producing a video – I have limited skills and many cognitive issues with ME experience but determined to improve which is why I appreciate your comments, many thanks.”

Be kind. 🙂  I hope you find it a useful resource.

  1. Slowdown the slideshow. People with diminished cognitive ability may not be able to read fast enough when you put two or three paragraphs on a slide and expect us to read it (and comprehend it) in less than five seconds.
This one goes so fast that my mom, with normal cognitive function, still couldn’t read it and understand it fast enough before it went onto the next slide.

    ~ thanks

  2. Hi Sandi. You are right about that. I think Janet is aware of that problem, but I will ask her. You can pause the video but it’s a bit of a bother. The other thing I am trying to do is get the posters showing up on this page as separate images for people to use on Facebook posts or just to keep etc. Thanks for letting me know.
